2 Aug--Meets Sigrun Gard, the valkyrie. She seems to think that Faramir is dumb as a stump for trusting Glaurnaneth and she may well be right. 5 Dec-- Glaurnaneth hears Faramir having nightmares again and they speak about it, mostly in the hall. (Their rooms are next to each other.) Faramir says it would be improper for her to sit and sing all night in his room to keep nightmares away. He will help her learn to read, which is perfectly decent. Faramir meets Miho on the beach, not that he knows her name. The freshly-severed head is cause for some concern although not as much as it would be for others. She says not a word, he explains very little, and she doesn't draw her sword on him and leaves.
